Nothing needs to be ready and nothing needs moving. Your pet does not have to be lifted, wrapped or brought to a door, and if they are upstairs or in an awkward spot that is our job to sort out. The vehicle is unmarked, because a street does not need to know your business. Where a pet has died at the vet, we collect from the practice instead, so you are not asked to go back for them.

Understanding the Two Options

Two routes exist and the difference between them is the thing to be clear about. With an individual cremation service, yours is the only animal involved from beginning to end, and that is exactly why ashes can be handed back to you afterwards. Under a communal cremation service a group is cremated at once, and no household receives anything back. Both are done by the same people to the same standard. Neither is the respectful one and neither is the cheap one, but the choice cannot be reversed later, so it is worth being certain rather than nodding it through.

What It Costs

Cremation follows weight bands, since a large dog occupies a chamber a good deal longer than a cat. We work standard weekday hours, with a separate out-of-hours arrangement available at extra cost. If a pet has died late in the evening and morning would do, waiting saves you money and loses you nothing. Keep them somewhere cool and undisturbed and ring when we open. There is nothing that must be done overnight, whatever it feels like at the time.

When It Happened Without Warning

Plenty of animals die at home with no notice at all, often overnight, having seemed perfectly fine the previous evening. Nothing has gone wrong and nothing has been missed by you not having arrangements in place.
